About Coral Sea Television
Seal for website 3

Coral Sea Television is a Sydney based production company established in 1991. We make marine related programs for documentaries, drama and interactive programs.

CSTV director, George Evatt has been working underwater for more than 20 years and has received many awards including the 1998 Gold Tripod for Wildlife Cinematography (ACS National Awards) and the prestigious 2004 Whitley Medal for best publication on Australian Natural History. We have a large selection of underwater production equipment including underwater housings to suit HDCAM, Varicam (& HPX series) and DVCAM cameras. Please see our credits for a list of recent productions.

High Definition
High Definition is becoming the default acquisition format for television production and CSTV have been there from the start. We have seven years experience with underwater HD using mainly the HDCAM F900 & Varicam cameras in aluminum and stainless housings. Recent HD jobs include: Expedition Shark for the Discovery Channel filmed on the Coral Sea early 2008, a seven week expedition to Antarctica to document Japanese whaling activities in the Southern Ocean aboard the Sea Shepherd Expedition ship for the Seven Network. We are now developing a underwater housing for the revolutionary 4K RED CAMERA SYSTEM, this will hopefully be ready in early 2009

Marine Conservation & Education
Coral Sea Television strongly supports marine conservation and works with the Australian Conservation Foundation, National Parks Association, Nature Conservation Council of New South Wales and The Australian Marine Conservation Society on educational programs about Australia’s unique marine regions and threats facing them. We are also involved with marine education at school level with the Marine Discovery Centre at Bondi Beach and also each year George Evatt talks to more than 12,000 school students about Australian marine life.
